Compare The Bookie is editorially independent. No bookmaker owns any part of us, and none has any say in what we publish. We are an affiliate site: some outbound links pay us a commission when a punter joins — and that commission never changes a score, a ranking position or a single word we publish.

Whether a bookmaker has a commercial deal with us affects exactly one thing: the label and destination of the outbound button on its page. Never its rating, its rank or its prominence on the site.

Consensus scores are aggregated from independent public review sources, with the number of sources shown alongside every score. Punter ratings are collected on this site and shown as a separate figure — the two are never blended into one number.

Reviews and guides are written and maintained by CTB Editorial, the site's editorial team, and published under that collective byline.

Punter reviews are checked against a fixed list of rejection grounds before they appear. Being negative is never one of them — critical reviews stay up. Every moderation decision is recorded, and rejected reviews are retained rather than deleted.
